I received this complimentary in the Clairol Color Crave VoxBox campaign for review. I decided to test the hair makeup out tonight just to see how it worked and if it looked good. After many failed attempts at French Dutch braiding my hair like all the other fancy hair people on Instagram I gave up and decided to try out another technique I’d seen and just do the ends of my hair with some streaks. I have semi dark brunette hair so I didn’t have an expectations that it would work even though I’d seen it had on other dark haired people. To no avail I could not seem to make it look good. I combed through my hair while I blow dried it I use small sections and I saw barely any difference in my hair and you could only faintly see the glitter. It made my hair look poofy and fried and left hard streaks in the middle. It was also very hard to style. The ‘dye’ itself got all over everything! It also didn’t come off of anything easily, it was all over my hands, sink, floor, and shower! As well as not coming out of my hair easily either, I had to shampoo it more than three times to get most of it out. I wouldn’t use this product very much and probably wouldn’t recommend. The only way i could see wearing this is in braids in your hair in the summer for a little shimmer, but other than that I wouldn’t wear it. it is advertised as a way to switch up your hair style everyday though I can’t see anyone doing that.
