Tyler's September TBR

10:25:00 PM

I'm not gonna lie to you. I didn't read ANYTHING (except the things I read during BookTube-A-Thon) in August. I started "The 5th Wave" by Rick Yancey, but I've had to put it down due to school stuff and all that jazz. This month, I'm keeping the TBR short and simple. I want to read 3 things this month, but I only want complete 2 of them.

First up! I want to restart and finish "The 5th Wave" by Rick Yancey.

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker.

Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother—or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

I also really want to read "Queen of Shadows" by Sarah J. Maas. I absolutely love this series and am so excited for this fourth installment!

Everyone Celaena Sardothien loves has been taken from her. But she's at last returned to the empire—for vengeance, to rescue her once-glorious kingdom, and to confront the shadows of her past . . .
She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die just to see her again. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen's triumphant return.
Celaena’s epic journey has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions across the globe. This fourth volume will hold readers rapt as Celaena’s story builds to a passionate, agonizing crescendo that might just shatter her world.

The last thing I really want to read is "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. I am actually reading this for a school project that we will be assigned in the second half of this semester, and my teacher suggested that we read our classic at least once before then. I have started and am actually about 80 pages into it, but I have not been paying enough attention which means I probably need to start this over as well.

Jane and Elizabeth Bennet attend an elegant ball thrown by Mr. Charles Bingley, an eligible bachelor who has just bought Netherfield Park, a nearby estate. During the dance, Bingley sweeps Jane off her feet while Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, Bingley's dour friend, refuses to dance with Elizabeth because of her lower class status. Despite his decision, Darcy becomes completely enchanted by Elizabeth. And Elizabeth can't help but feel a strange connection with him. Does she hate him or does she love him? Will they ever express their love, or will the constraints of society keep them apart forever?
